Sound Insulation

Sound Insulation

Sound sources over 80 dB in businesses or machines, benches, pipelines, equipment, air handling units, etc. that constantly vibrate at a certain frequency, cause hearing loss by damaging human health. In such cases, the noise level is reduced below the threshold value by using various methods. The main methods used in sound insulation are as follows.

In the first system, anti-vibration feet are mounted on the surface to be insulated. Afterwards, the insulation material is mounted, and then the sheet metal is mounted. Here, the basic elements are to choose a foot in the form (omega form) to prevent vibration, or to choose an anti-vibration wedge made of dense rubber material, and to leave a certain thickness of air space between the insulation material and the coating sheet. The air gap left in the insulation is also a factor in sound insulation. It is widely used in places such as industrial fans, rotating equipment, crushing equipment, filters.

As the second system, systems where insulation material and composite sound insulation board are applied together are used. In the high temperature where the insulation is made, the insulation material is first applied to the surface, then the composite panel is applied. If not, the sound insulation board is applied first, followed by the insulation material, and then the coating is applied. While the sound insulation board may be in the form of glass fiber reinforced bitumen sheet, lead sheet between two elastomeric rubbers, etc., it may also consist of different components according to the project requirements. This application is preferred in large diameter pipes, industrial fans and equipment where there is more air flow.

As the third system, sound insulation cabinets are applied to sound sources in environments that cannot be isolated, whose geometric structure and location are unfavorable. The cabins are composed of composite panels, the interior is perforated sheet metal and the filling material is rock wool.

Our company provides all the main materials, consumables, engineering service and labor required for the performance of the work used in sound insulation applications.
