Fenolic Foam Insulation

Fenolic Foam Insulation

Phenol foam is among the most preferred products in industrial insulation applications. The most used materials are rockwool, polyurethane-pyr, Phenol foam (cellular glass / foam glass), elastomeric rubber and phenol foam. Some of the main reasons for choosing phenol foam in insulation are as follows.

  •  Low thermal conductivity value (0.025 W/mK at +10 °C),
  •  Service temperature is between -183 °C and +125 °C,
  •  Having high compressive strength
  •  High stability in case of fire and emission values very close to zero
  •  Having the property of holding water up to 10% of its volume,

Phenol foam can be preferred in insulation applications of both hot and cold surfaces. It is necessary to pay attention to the use of appropriate adhesive and vapor barrier in cold insulation. Prefabricated phenol foam (phenolic foam) is a material that has elasticity within certain limits but has a fragile structure. Phenol foam insulation can be applied on flat surfaces, tanks, equipment and pipe surfaces.

In addition, some aspects of the application are as follows.

Phenol foam (phenolic foam) is fixed with the help of filament tape or stainless steel circles according to the application type and surface.

By applying multi-layer foil between two or more layers of phenol foam (phenolic foam), corrosion and possible vapor passages between surfaces due to vibration are prevented.

Materials such as aluminum, steel, galvanization and its alloys, pvc, hdpe, pp, ctp can be used as coating material.

Our company provides all the main materials, consumables, engineering service and all the labor required for the performance of the work needed in the applications of phenol foam (phenolic foam insulation) insulation.
